EDI Processing - CMG Logistics offers EDI (Electronic data interchange) standard data format for the transmission and receipt of data files. The CMG Logistics EDI suite supports a wide range of standard EDI transaction sets used for the creation of and billing of shipping and freight information.

Transaction sets supported
Inbound:
Carrier Transaction Sets (4010 & 4030):
  • 110 – Air Freight Invoice
  • 210 – Freight Bill Invoice
  • 214 – Shipment Status
  • 240 – Shipment Status
  • 310 – Ocean Freight Invoice
  • 410 – Rail Freight Invoice
  • LTL - Less than Truckload Invoice

Customer Transaction Sets:
  • 211 – Bill of Lading
  • 850 – Purchase Order
  • 858 – Bill of Lading
  • Custom/Proprietary Flat Files

Carrier Transaction Data Input
Carriers who are not EDI capable can still submit their bills on-line. Carriers can enter transaction information on-line into our system creating a faster, no cost environment.

Data Entry, Document Outsourced Processing and Imaging
This system uses the latest in high-speed scanners and technology. CMG Logistics offers the ability to electronically convert paper shipping and freight documents. Information is merged with EDI data for consistent and viewable documentation.

Logistics Information Integration
Other customer data services are not always enough to achieve measurable results. CMG Logistics provides technical resources that integrate transportation data to client's internal departments and systems. Our System Integration Services provide installation and systems integration for complete web-based and server applications. Consultation and systems administration is also available.

Logistics Information Visibility
CMG Logistics provides visibility of shipped, delivered, in-transit, and late delivered shipments by utilizing carrier EDI tracking data. Clients receive notification of package delivery, origin, destination, delivery, exception scans, estimated date and time of arrival, and missed scan alerts. Visibility applications can be expanded to support customer access and search criteria on freight information that includes:
  • Purchase or sales order number
  • Ship to company name
  • Ship to company address
  • Bill of Lading number
  • Number of pieces
  • Weight
  • Carrier name
  • ETA date, date/time of delivery
  • Exception quantity
  • Signer of shipment
  • Many more parameters
